2005 Capital Project Update Page

2005 will be another busy year, with approximately $40 million dollars worth of infrastructure improvements scheduled for the DM&E/IC&E capital program.  Prior to 2004's $70 million dollar RRIF capital program, the capital budget for the combined IC&E/DM&E system had been approximately $16.0 million.

We have identified the 4 major project components, and will track them on a monthly basis so that the public can follow our progress and success (or failure) in project completion.  The following guide will give interested parties ready access to each of the 4 major project components (rail, ties, surfacing, and bridges), as well as a generic “monthly report” generally describing how the overall process is working.
