OVER 110,000 OF 185,000 TIES TO BE INSTALLED
IN 2007 ARE ALREADY INSTALLED. SEVEN OF THE ELEVEN MAJOR PROJECTS THAT HIGHLITE
THE PRODUCTION YEAR ALREADY COMPLETED!
The
two Company tie crews and one contractor crew have already installed over 110,000
ties on the two properties on their way to a total installation number of
nearly 185,000 ties. More details of all
tie projects scheduled for 2007 are below:
¨ The first project on the two
properties to be completed was one of nearly 12,000 ties on the IC&E’s
¨ The second project on the
two properties to be completed was one of 14,000 ties on the Upper Black Hills
Subdivision and in the
¨ The third project that was
completed on the two properties was one of 20,000 ties on the Marquette
Subdivision between
¨ The next project on the two
properties that was completed is one of 22,000 ties on the upper end of the
Marquette Subdivision, between
¨ From the Black Hills
Subdivision the West DM&E tie gang traveled to
¨ When the ties on the upper
end of the IC&E are installed, the DM&E crew will load up their
equipment and head back to
¨ We are in the process of assembling
a small tie crew to install 6,000 yard ties in the Waseca and Huron yards. This project will extend from now until the
end of the year.
¨ John Thulen’s
IC&E crew completed two projects recently by installing 2,500 ties in the
Nahant yard and 12,000 ties in the main line west of Nahant. These projects
were completed in late July.
¨ After the Nahant projects
were completed the IC&E crew proceeded to install CWR in several curves on
the River sub and when this is completed the crew will complete their 2007 tie
installation schedule by installing 22,000 ties between Chillicothe, Missouri
and Polo, Missouri. The IC&E tie
crew is scheduled to complete all of their tie installation by mid-September
and then will install curve rail for the remainder of the 2007 production year.
