Bridges Monthly Update

ANOTHER BIG YEAR FOR BRDIGE CREWS ON BOTH RAILROADS!

 

The two properties currently have nearly $4 million in bridge work scheduled for the 2008 season.  Details of major projects are listed below:

 

 

·        Bridge R-76 on the Mason City sub is a complete rebuild and is being handled by the E-80 crew led by Jeremy Kroll.  This bridge was destroyed in a derailment and is scheduled to be completed very early in the 2nd quarter.

·        Bridge H313 on the Black Hills sub near Belle Fourche is being completely rebuilt with this work starting in 07 and scheduled to be completed very early in the 2nd quarter.  E-80’s Mel Hershberger and his crew are doing most of the bridge work with Jim Nemec leading the track construction part of this project.

 

·        Jamie Stark will utilize the New Ulm bridge crew to strengthen our wood pile bridges east of Owatonna to allow the transportation of 286k loading versus the 263k that it is now.
