Welcome to the DM&E and IC&E Railroad’s Industrial
and Economic Development site.
Industrial & Economic Development Site
The DM&E and IC&E railroads operate in eight
states providing service from Wyoming to Chicago and from the Twin Cities to
Kansas City. We are the largest Class II rail system and together
comprise the eighth largest railroad system in the country. We are the
only regional railroad in the United States with direct rail connections
with every major Class I railroad and access to several rail-to-river
terminals on the Mississippi River in Iowa and Minnesota. We can provide up-to-date, accurate information on
available land, buildings and transload facilities throughout our railroad
system. Our industrial and
economic development and marketing staff is available to work with you on
track construction specifications and additional services related to
business development. Site
location assistance is part of the DM&E and IC&E Railroad’s fully
integrated transportation service program. Please let us know whenever we can be of assistance to you. Generally,
economic development is dependent on good infrastructure. Rail service
is critical to economic and industrial development and vitality.
We look for opportunities to provide a low cost transportation option, often saving
businesses money. Please also let us know whenever you're working with
others who may have questions or a need for rail service. We
pride ourselves on good customer service and want to be accessible to you
and shippers throughout our service area. As we serve hundreds of customers in hundreds of communities
throughout the upper Midwest, we often have the opportunity to promote
communities and states along our line to our existing customers in
terms of new business development and expansion prospects. We look
forward to working on development projects in your community and state. Thanks for the opportunity to handle your business. We look forward to working with you to develop your business and your community, increase our business and prosper together. John Brooks |
